Roger Nores, a close friend of Liam Payne, is taking legal action against the late One Direction star’s father, 

Geoff Payne, following controversial statements made after Liam’s death. 

Roger, who was present with Liam during his final days in Buenos Aires, has filed a defamation lawsuit, 

claiming that Geoff falsely portrayed him as the caretaker responsible for Liam’s well-being at the time of his passing.

According to the lawsuit filed Thursday, Roger vehemently denies Geoff’s allegations 

that he was tasked with looking after Liam during his struggles with addiction in the weeks leading up to his death. 

Geoff reportedly made a sworn declaration to the Buenos Aires police, claiming that Roger had “full responsibility for Liam’s care during this last period when I was not there.”
