Sarah Hyland, best known for her role as Haley Dunphy on Modern Family, is facing criticism after comedian Jeff Dye publicly accused her of being difficult to work with. 

The 42-year-old stand-up comedian, who previously dated The Hills star Kristin Cavallari, made the claims during a recent episode of The George Janko Show podcast, 

where he reflected on his experience with Hyland while working on the 2019 romantic comedy The Wedding Year.

Dye, who had a brief role in the film, did not hold back his opinions, labeling Hyland as “rude” and a “tyrant.”

“I was only on set for about 30 seconds, but in that short time, she was already being rude to everyone,” Dye claimed. “She’s a pretty woman who chain smokes and is just terrible.”

“She actually said to the director, ‘There are extras eating at the craft service table,’ like it was some sort of crime,” Dye said. “It was as if she thought they were stealing from her personal kitchen.”

“She hated me, no doubt about it,” he said. “At one point, she literally told me, ‘You’re what’s wrong with people.’”

“I don’t think she’s used to being around an actual man,” he added.

“If she could have had me erased from the set, she would have,” he added. “She hated me, and the next day, I was gone.”
