Hugh Jackman lost support from his fans after revealing the real reason for canceling his tour.

Fans of Hugh Jackman were left disappointed after the actor announced the cancellation of his highly anticipated performance at London’s Hyde Park this summer.

The 56-year-old star was scheduled to perform on July 6, 2024, as part of the BST Hyde Park concert series,

where he planned to showcase songs from his iconic roles in musicals such as *The Boy From Oz*, *Les Miserables*, *The Music Man*, and *The Greatest Showman*.

However, Jackman revealed that he would no longer be able to attend due to an “unforeseen conflict” in his schedule.

In a heartfelt statement, Jackman expressed his sadness about the cancellation, acknowledging the deep disappointment both he and his fans felt.

He said, “Due to an unforeseen conflict in my schedule, I am deeply disappointed to announce I will be unable to perform in Hyde Park this July 6.

This was a stage I truly was looking forward to being on. No less in a city that I love so much.” Jackman also took the time to thank the fans who had already purchased tickets, reassuring them that refunds would be available and encouraging them to visit a link in his bio for further information.

BST Hyde Park, the organizers of the event, confirmed that ticketholders who had bought tickets through official channels would be fully refunded. Despite the official response, many fans took to social media to express their frustration. One fan wrote, “That’s so sad. We were looking forward to this,” while another fan, seemingly more upset, commented, “I thought he can’t disappoint me more this year, but he managed. Thanks from ex. fan!”

Jackman’s decision to cancel this performance marks a rare moment of disappointment in what has otherwise been an incredible year for the actor. Known for his versatile career, Jackman is loved for his remarkable performances in both film and theater. He is especially famous for his role as Wolverine in the *X-Men* franchise, a character he played for over a decade. His most recent project, *Deadpool 3*, which reunited him with Ryan Reynolds as Wolverine, earned a staggering $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office.

However, Jackman’s love for musical theater is also well known, and it was his Broadway performances that truly helped shape his early career. His first major success came when he starred as Gaston in the Australian production of *Beauty and the Beast*, before going on to make a name for himself in London’s West End as Curly in *Oklahoma!*, earning an Olivier nomination for his performance. On Broadway, Jackman received widespread acclaim for his Tony Award-winning role in *The Boy from Oz*, cementing his status as a powerhouse in musical theater.

In recent years, Jackman has returned to his musical roots, starring in the 2012 film adaptation of *Les Miserables* and in the 2017 smash hit *The Greatest Showman*. His charismatic performance as PT Barnum in *The Greatest Showman* helped make the movie a cultural phenomenon and a favorite for audiences worldwide. More recently, Jackman took on the role of Professor Harold Hill in the Broadway revival of *The Music Man* in 2021, with the production enjoying both critical and commercial success. The show ran through 2023, further showcasing Jackman’s enduring appeal as a Broadway star.

Though fans in London will be disappointed by the cancellation, Jackman has announced that he will be performing in New York City at Radio City Music Hall in April 2024. The actor will continue with performances at the venue throughout the year, with shows scheduled to run until October. This announcement provides a silver lining for fans who were hoping to see Jackman perform live, and it’s clear that his passion for musical theater remains strong.

While the cancellation of his Hyde Park show was unfortunate, fans can take comfort in knowing that Jackman’s love for performing is unwavering, and they’ll have the opportunity to experience his talents on stage later this year.
